Forget social? I’ll use that search

In the recent months their have been many rumors about Google coming up working their best engineers on a new social network, a so called Facebook Killer. Google’s past attempts in social market have failed or rather are not even close to Facebook’s enormous success which now has over 500 million users.

Many are cynical about the success of Google’s latest product in the making. It has always bothered me that Facebook is the only social network thriving and others starving for even one/tenth the success Facebook has achieved. We all know monopoly is never good as it kills competition and creativity. Cynicism aside, Google’s new secret product excites me as Google already has available products like Google Buzz to integrate in their new service.

This time Google has tried to make their web search more social by introducing Google social circle. Google social circle uses Google Profiles to help people make their searches social. It enables users to connect Google with their social networks and find if people in your network have anything relating to your search query (photos, videos, articles, etc) and display them among the search results.
