Finally Comex has released the latest Jailbreak entitled Jailbreakme. This is a complete step by step guide on how to jailbreak your Apple device. Jailbreakme will jailbreak iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad so that covers all devices. This tutorial will help Jailbreak firmware 3.1.2, firmware 3.1.3, firmware 4.0 and firmware 4.0.1 for iPod and iPhone. Now for iPad it’s firmware 3.2 and firmware 3.2.1 that means you can update to the latest firmwares and this will work for you.

Recommended: Kindly restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch before you Jailbreak.

Step #1

Update to the Latest iTunes that is 9.2.1 before moving any further

Step #2

This is slightly different to Blackra1n and Spirit, since the Jailbreak will take place on your device itself.
First go to Safari, now in the address bar, type in http://jailbreakme.com and press Go.

Step #3

After pressing GO, you will now see the above image on your screen. Now simply Slide to Jailbreak to start with the process.

Step #4

Now all you need to do is Press on “Jailbreak”.
*Since we’ve already tested this we are getting this message.

After completing the previous step, you will now witness the POP-UP of Downloading as seen below.
*If you do not get the pop-up as seen below and you’re stuck on the purple screen you’ll need to refresh the page and start again from Step #3.

Step #5

After completing Step #4 you will be greeted with the message “Cydia has been added to the home screen”(as seen in the image above).
Now, Press OK and close Safari.

Step #6

You will now be able to see the Cydia icon on your Home Screen and there you have it guys Cydia running on iPhone 4.

*The Jailbreak was performed on an iPhone 4 running firmware 4.0.1.
