Since the month back release of the new Apple iPhone 4, it has surprisingly received mixed reviews. It has been subjected to massive criticism for the attenuated signal problem for left handers due to the location of the antenna. Even with this much hyped criticism, Apple fan boys have still managed to find their love in the flawed product. The iPhone 4 issues don’t just stop at bad reception and call dropping. Let’s know’em all:

Much hyped as “The Death Grip” is the biggest issue with the phone. The problem is caused due to the position of the antenna which is placed at the bottom left corner of the phone. Which when held in the left hand covers the antenna spot causing the signal to drop. Though Apple has denied the flaw to cause call failures, claiming it’s only an issue with how the signal is displayed. Meanwhile many consumers have confirmed the flaw to result in dropped calls.

Rear Camera Problems

There have been many report of the rear camera ceasing to function, some of them initially worked but stopped later on. Furthermore the rear camera has had problems with automatic white balance while taking indoor pictures. Customers have reported pictures to have taken a yellowish-orange tinge.

Yellow Screen Spots

One of my favorite things about Apple is innovation. With iPhone 4 they brought along Retina display. It’s hard to look at normal displays after the beautiful display of iPhone 4. It’s a feature not required but still there.

But not all is good for the consumers, early adopter of the iPhone have reported it to have yellow spots in the corners of the screen.

Back Glass Breaks & Scratches Easily

Many users managed to shatter the back glasses of their iPhone on the very first day. Even though Apple has documented the back glass of iPhone 4 to be “Chemically strengthened to be 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic”. Breaks apart, it’s not even scratch proof.

Volume Buttons Go Nuts

Some users reported that the volume buttons reverse there operations, the (+) button decreases the volume and the (-) button increases it. This problem may not be a biggie, neither has it been heavily reported. It may have been an issue with only a couple of phones.

Most of these issues will probably be fixed with the next firmware update, except for the ones related to physical damage. For the death grip problem you can sign up for a iPhone 4 bumper or cover provided by Apple for free.

Look no matter what Apple does they will continue to dig their own grave. I mean it does have some great features but white or not the iPhone 4 has major design flaws. Design should never come before function and usability. Apple seems to have forgotten that.

I mean the iPhone 4 held the number one spot in the top ten ranking on pc world. Once Apple gave that press conference they took it down with out explanation. However, http://getyourgadgetsgoing.com/ took a look into it. The results are rather interesting.
